Dune: Part Two 2024

This is not recency bias, it is not an exaggeration, this is one of the best movies that I have ever watched. I am in absolute awe of this movie. Literally every aspect of this is near perfection.
The first dune film I appreciated and really enjoyed but this was on another level. Everything was just done 10x better in this one than in the last. AND THAT IS SAYING SOMETHING!

My final pre-oscar watch was definitely a good one. There is such a rawness and genuineness to this film which makes it incredibly relatable. It delicately navigates us through the feelings of heartache and pain in such a profound manner which is down to both the superbly tight script and excellent performances by Jesse and Kieran. If Kieran gets that Oscar tonight, as I'm expecting he will, then I will have no complaints as he plays the character perfectly. This film is really funny too and I enjoyed it a lot.
Avengers: Infinity War 2018

The best the MCU has to offer is right here. The fact this film came out 7 years ago is wild. Remember watching this in the theatre and being absolutely astonished. A couple of rewatches down and I still have an amazing time watching this movie!

Didn’t love everything about this film but it did manage to evoke so much emotion out of me. Aftersun, beautiful boy, the father, and all of us strangers in one week 😭. I need to watch something happy now.
