i want to give gregg araki the biggest hug ever for making the most meaningful film. this is so dear to me and holds an inexplicably special place in my heart that could never be replaced. this film breaks me every time i watch it but i cannot help being drawn to it.

an absolutely enchanting film, full of foreboding and impending doom laced with an amalgamation of morbid optimism and overwhelming cyncism, often stemming from only Oppenheimer himself alone. the haunting, hardened depictions of these weapons of mass destruction interspersed with moments of raw humanity, of breathing alone, creates an utterly awe inspiring atmosphere.

this film so eerily manages to immerse you in the perversion of it all, its almost like being intoxicated by their illustrious way of life...
the shock and horror is of course present and weighs down on you but the fixating appeal overrides those feelings
i thought i was going to be in for a meaningless mess of blood splattered sex scenes but this was more disturbing than anything graphic gore i ever anticipated
one scene that really sticks out…
