What a beautiful film. Poor E.T getting smacked in the head by the fridge. The juxtaposition of not showing the human face because they didn't believe was a great touch.

Solid enough film, not destined to be a cinema classic - but as someone who loved the book, the film has enough nice bits that I remember vividly. (The Jenny is what I always pictured in my mind's eye.)
