So... I watched la la land... again, and it’s still a really brilliant film in my opinion. I shook things up a bit this time by watching it with the last person in my family who hasn’t seen it - my dad - my mum and two sisters have seen it but hate it and continuously tell me that my taste in film is terrible, and as a film buff and a wannabe actor/writer/director, that made me feel awful. Luckily however, my dad absolutely loved the film, he thought the beginning was a little slow and wasn’t a fan of the opening dance sequence, but loved everything else... the music, the romance, the ending (although he thought it was sad), the editing and the directing!
Overall, I still love the film, and I’m overjoyed that my dad loved it as well!
