I’m a simple man, if a movie has dinosaurs in it, I’ll enjoy it!
65 is a very muddled movie, its certainly got its fair share of issues but honestly, it’s one I rather enjoyed. It’s a tense 90 minute Adam Driver survival flick with cool dinosaurs, neat action sequences and some fun sci-fi gadgets that worked like a charm. It’s hard to pull off something with this little dialogue but for me it worked, creating some thrilling moments full of intense action sequences, subtle jump scares and two characters who’s relationship I came to enjoy come it’s conclusion. Sure it’s incredibly predictable and while the 90 minute runtime is nice, it did seem like it was missing that special something…yet it delivers exactly what you’d expect from a Sci-Fi dinosaur movie, a fun time but not exactly a great movie. It’s basically After Earth but better, make of that what you will.
