    i love this movie because it feels so raw and authentic and real. some dialogues are a little bit old-fashioned and stereotypical, but then the characters say the most profound and thought-provoking things and the “bad” stuff is instantly forgotten and forgiven. like, them talking around the table about love and soulmates and marriage, it feels like un-romanticizing life a little bit. very confrontational, it breaks the delusion, but it is so beautifully said and real. i’m very thankful for…

    watched this for the first time when i was around 10 or 11 years old. that’s when i discovered the true meaning of cinema; this movie is cinema.

    i love rewatching it ( not too often. it’s too good and i don’t want to get tired of it, ever. ) and noticing new details i overlooked during my past rewatches. i know the scenes and the dialogues by heart. everything about it is so excellent, it still touches my soul deeply, nearly a decade later !
