Kind of interesting how count Orlok from Nosferatu is the most important vampire of cinema. However, Bela Lugosi has a well deserved second place if you ask me.
]]>The cycle of vampire movies comes to an end. Not flawless, but then again, the claustrophobic feeling it creates with being on a boat on the ocean with a vampire on board is really good.
]]>Vampires are finally scary again. Let's see if werewolves also go scary again. Yes Leigh Whannell, I'm talking directly to you.
]]>Death is not the worst. There are things more horrible than death.
Kind of missed the eerie atmosphere from the original Nosferatu on this one. But I do have to say the character of Lucy carries the entire story to make it up for that.
]]>First log of the new year, as I prepare for Robert Eggers' Nosferatu.
I must admit that I'm impressed. Practical effects are on point, and a good mixture of love, loss and horror.
Not a big fan of furry Dracula, but his scenes as a vampire do deliver
Beware that his shadow doth not burden your dreams with horrible fears.
Amazing how th8s movie creates it's own eerie and uneasy atmosphere with mainly music and the acting. Truly a masterclass for the later vampire films that came afterwards.

]]>What being woken up from a sound sleep does to a man
]]>I wish there was more background throughout the runtime. But deep down I know that would give away important info for later.
Lin Shaye you keep on slaying.
Merry creepmas to you all. May you always find joy, achievements, health, money and of course, horror movies, for a whole new upcoming year.
Sonic acquires new powers and the very first thing he does after defeating the villain is use those powers to create a hotdog. He clearly has his priorities well sorted.

]]>We had a Friday the 13th on October last year
Only after 1 year we have a Friday the 13th on December.
Ti's the season to be jolly, am I right
I've never been that much into the vampire genre. The last voyage of the Demeter and the Dracula novel are what I like the most, but this movie, man... I loved it.
It would have to be my favorite, at least until I watch Robert Eggers' Nosferatu.
Look, I too would get angry if strangers came to my house making loud, annoying noises and also pointing flash lights or any other bothersome lights I'm my entire face.

Or how else can you explain that we come from an Oscar winner like Get Out to something so pAInful like AfrAId?
Insidious but underwater
]]>The creature looks like the most generic thing ever made to scare kids. Other than that, kind of interesting concept, more or less.
]]>And this why you should stay away from fentanyl kids.
]]>Say... this Beauty and the Beast live action looks diferent from what I remember.
Now, on a more serious note. I think I already said it, if not: I don't like musicals. I have tried watching some, but I just can't get into them. However, some musicals have worked for me: Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio, and this one too.
Melissa Barrera, what else can I say that hasn't been already said? The character of the monster works nice as a metaphor for repressed anger, plus... I get to see Melissa covered in blood again so that is a big success.
Pace problems are all over, but the setting and the atmosphere make it up for that.
Other than that it is actually good. Not something mindblowing, but I wouldn't consider it average either.
Truly a moving and a philosophical experience.
This is the type of movies Dreamworks should still be making.
Not sure why at the very beginning they state the movie was shot in 35 mm film.
Besides that, a thriller full of twists, unpredictable twists luckily.
Looks like Kyle Gallner has become the new Justin Long 'cause he has died in his las two movies.
Willa Fitzgerald you are queen.
Whoever silenced Samara Weaving is the real monster.
Even though is missing the v/h/s/ format the sci-fi horror mix actually suits this franchise. This one is one of my favorites
]]>This movie didn't deserve its box office failure. I know these are younger versions of Megatron and Optimus Prime, but I didn't like that much Bryan Tyree Henry and Chris Hemsworth for the voices. It is actually an excellent performance from both, but I don't think their voices fit the characters.
]]>Gonna have to give it a second watch because I don't know if the narrative is messy or I was so dumb that I didn't know what was happening.
]]>I just kept waiting for that scene that supposedly made David Howard Thorton vomit, but that never came. Honestly this is not even the goriest of the entire franchise. Not that I love gratuitous and over the top violence.
