A goofy but fun sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was better than I was expecting! I laughed at a few of the gags and really liked the addition of Jenna Ortega who seamlessly fit into the movie. Burton’s work is a bit of a hit or miss for me, but I always admire his style and it’s fully on display in this. My main issue with this sequel was that the script was a bit uneven, balancing several subplots, with a couple not feeling fully resolved. But it was still campy entertainment. I have a feeling they’re going to make a 3rd movie just so they can call it Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
