Decided to actually write a review today.
Mad Max: Fury Road is enjoyment in its purest form. This movie is the definition of fun. Sheer fun, with raw locations and marvelous colors. I am not familiar with George Miller's other works (including the previous "Mad Max-es"), but I can tell the man has some style. The directing in this film is as insane as its production.
The story is extremely simple, but that doesn't affect the film at all. The characters are all really cool to watch interact with this crazy post-apocalyptic world and between themselves. I liked Furiosa the most, mainly because of Charlize Theron's badass performance.
The action is just jaw-dropping. It's ABSURDLY great. There is just no words to explain how good it is. It's not like your average action car chase... there is such an unique charm to the whole thing, and the score turns what was already perfect into something offworldly. This whole film is an offworldly experience.
And there's also the perfect pacing. It's like in The Grand Budapest, where the film is relatively short, but it also feels like it's way longer, despite never dragging and always keeping your attention. I wouldn't mind another hour of this, to be honest.
Adrenaline in every action sequence, a chilling score, amazing environments and characters... Mad Max: Fury Road might be the best action film of the 2010s. Just awesome.
