Synopsis
Tonight HONG KONG is falling sieged by soulless corpse.
A pair of slackers are forced to put aside their childish ways when a zombie outbreak makes its way to their small town.

This here was quite the troubling if still enjoyable effort. Based and apocalypse pilled. Umm... I don't know what the fuck this is about but I'm guessing this is based on some manga or anime and as a person who has touched both grass and your moms boobs I did not read 1700 issues of whatever this is prior to watching so I'm not supposed to get it. It's bizarre too because there is a lot of melodrama here that is well done and coherent but the plot kind of isn't. It is a cool chicken monster I'll give them that.

I had no idea what to expect from Zombiology, except that there would be a chicken mascot in there somewhere thanks to the poster. I was not expecting a family drama with egg grenades that rip your whole face clean off the skull. You spent a lot of time with the human survivors and how their relationship grow, change and develop, and then in the last 30mins all hell breaks loose. If you don’t like family dramas and goofy comedy, Zombiology might not be for you. If you like the Dead Rising video games though that this is great.

Zombiology is a strange and pretty unique film. It definitely throws some unexpected shit at you and doesn't necessarily explain it.
It's pretty funny and has some rather charming characters. A lot of the emotional moments would be really strong in a movie that properly established the characters and let you spend time with them first but here they either involve people we don't really know or are still pretty new to us.
The ending is kind of a weird cop out. Didn't feel very satisfying. It kind of decides to abandon the actual situation and changes style completely in a kind of deus ex machina like way.A fun watch that's probably worth giving a shot if you like out of the ordinary comedies or zomhie flicks.

I have no idea what was going on at any point. It was very weird, and every character was dumb and annoying. Yet somehow it was still kind of enjoyable, mostly because of the chicken monster. The fuck was up with that chicken monster?

Great energy and some solid ideas make up for slow start and strange transition from buddy movie to solo venture. Be like if Jackie Chan exited Rush Hour and it was just Chris Tucker for the final reel.

Zombiology has a couple of guys who think of themselves as anime heroes getting confronted by a city full of zombies. Zombies created by a giant weird square chicken. . . Thing. There's anime segments interspersed throughout. The comedy parts are pretty good. The horror zombie parts are pretty good. The family drama was not so great though. Also it's too long of a movie. About an hour and 20 mins in I was thinking it should be over soon only to find we still have 30 minutes to go.

Watched this Asian zombie flick on Amazon Prime. It was recently released by Dread Central as part of their lineup of flicks. This is one odd flick that unfortunately can’t decide what the hell it wanted to be. Silly or serious. Unfortunately serious doesn’t work as well when you have a movie in which a Chicken thing shoots out CGI orbs that turn people into the undead or that shoots out eggs that blast people’s heads off. The 2 main characters are alright. I actually found myself liking the friend more than the main guy. The zombies are alright looking except there’s almost no blood here. Um estranho ser aparece em Hong Kong e começa a transformar as pessoas em zumbis. Enquanto isso, Lung e Chi-Yeung, que são amigos desde a infância, passam por vários problemas e mudanças: têm que encontrar um novo lugar para morar, o pai de Lung sai da cadeia após 10 anos em busca de redenção e estão em busca do amor da vida deles. Porém, quando a situação complica, eles se tornam heróis para defender sua família e suas amadas. O filme faz uma junção entre o terror zumbi, a comédia e o animê, com os personagens sendo um pouco exagerados como os de uma animação, além de serem inspiração pra Lung e Chi-Yeung. Porém, eles não acertam muitas vezes. O filme chega quase ao bizarro algumas vezes, como os ovos voadores, explodidores de cabeça. Ou mesmo a criatura que dá início a tudo. Porém, em alguns momentos é divertido.

Ein anstrengender Zombiefilm, der tonal nie weiß wo er hin will, größtenteils sehr langweilt und auch überhaupt nichts neues oder frisches erzählen will. Handwerklich ist das alles vollkommen solide, aber das reicht mir bei dem ausgelutschten Zombie-Thema einfach nicht mehr aus. Der FIlm bremst sich durch seine zähen, teilweise nicht enden wollenden Dialogpassagen immer wieder aus. Da hilft die eigentlich passable Besetzung, die immerhin durch zwei HK-Kino Legenden in Form von Carrie Ng und Alex Man Chi-Leung unterstützt wird. War am Ende für mich schwer durchzuhalten.
