  The robbery scene is pretty funny but the plot is so fucking stupid that it’s hard to defend any of its better-than-normal creative choices.

  I am a huge fan of Pierre Salvadori, notably for his film, Après vous... I also like Adèle Haenel, so this seemed liked a nice pairing. Some of the comedy was over-the-top with tedious "bedtime story" dream sequences that had some people squirming because of the blood and killings. 

  The tone seemed to be a little off and the execution of the story seemed to miss the point. There was a detour that involved an S&M chamber which didn't do much for me personally or for the story.

  "I’m sick of being innocent."

  Classic case of of the wrong genre happening to a good idea. This is a well-acted and well-made (if forgettable) film but the humor is more miss than hit and the hits are mostly lukewarm. That Adèle Haenel though, she's going places. Someone give her a franchise already.

  Quelle belle surprise! Une bonne comédie française qui marie avec jubilation l'héritage des screwball comedies (c'est, entre autres choses, une comédie de remariage), le pastiche de polar et le marivaudage pour réfléchir intelligemment et sans prétention sur les nécessaires (auto)fictions qui nous permettent de vivre et de se détruire ensemble.

  A film with its fair share of good moments, but the scenes where they try to be funny by downplaying a ridiculous situation are so many and without the charm they promise.

  Adèle Haenel is great here, but even her seems to be struggling to have any chemistry with her co-stars.
