There's not much to say about this film. It's a remake of an underrated horror film from 2009, and it has average performances by B and C level actors, but an awesome alternative rock soundtrack.
I must say I'm somewhat embarrassed that it took me almost the entire movie to realise that the girlfriend was played by LB's enemy no. 1 foe Amber Heard, and that the mother was not Carrie Ann Moss but Sela Ward. Again, both did the best they could, although their characters are relegated to a "dumbed down" level where they had hardly any action until the last few minutes of the third act.
