Synopsis
In a youth correctional facility, Joe is preparing his return to society. But William’s arrival turns his desire for freedom into desire of another kind. Behind fences and cell walls, passions begin to play havoc with the need for liberty.

Youth correctional facilities really don’t seem that bad in Europe if this is anything to go by. This movie was superb. So cold and beautiful. Contemplative. Filled with so much tension and brooding. This is the second film I’ve seen with Julien De Saint Jean. He really has something has something special about him. He’s definitely got a bright future ahead of him. Really impressed by this movie. That ending was also a scene I will not be forgetting anytime soon. Beautiful.

La question de la liberté, la visibilité de jeunes trop souvent oubliés, l’homosexualité dans un contexte compliqué, tout cela porté par un groupe d’acteurs super prometteurs, avec de l’humour, de l’émotion exprimée par des danses, par des mots, par des regards, par des non-dits. Hâte de voir ce que le réal nous prépare pour ses prochains projets !
Et once again Khalil served, ce mec est trop talentueux, je ne me lasserai pas de le dire ! -

My Berlinale 23 film. Love that they avoided all the toxic cliches often perpetuated in queer media. The young cast was phenomenal. And William was the perfect soft bad boy. My teenage me would have loved this even more.
