The NZ film industry is 16 people and they're all best friends

‘Who’s that?’
‘Yeah you’re definitely not gay’

I’m starting to think that all kiwis are imbued at birth with a perfect sense of comedic timing
-
kiwi comedy is the best comedy i said what i said
-
this was incredible... like an incredible... flower.
-
“she’s very delicate. delicate like a delicate flower, but very persuasive like a persuasive... flower.”
this film was hilariously witty from start to finish and actually made my jaw hurt from laughing so much. the concept was unlike anything i’ve ever seen before and it was packed with so much natural comedic talent from the best kiwi actors in the business, not to mention that it was written and directed by the two amazing female leads. madeline sami and jackie van beek are both so talented and their on-screen womance was everything. without a doubt one of the best comedies of the year so far. 💔

*anything even remotely tied to Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement exists*
me: click click bitch

“Do you find Kristen Stewart hot?”
”Who’s Kristen Stewart?”
”No, no. You’re not gay.”
Kiwi humour is so crude yet fulfilling, brash yet wholesome; it’s my favourite brand of comedy ever since discovering Taika Waititi.
This stars, is written and directed by two hilarious women, Madeleine and Jackie—it’s sharp, full of heart, and worth 82 minutes of your time!

went to a mystery screening last night and it was this, hilarious from start to finish and really surprised the hell out of me. sat there for an hour and a half waiting to see taika’s name in the end credits and as expected he was an executive producer & script supervisor, his impact on the film is super noticeable so if you’re a fan of his check this out. It’s also directed/acted super well by sami and van beek, really loving the emergence of women in the film industry lately. james rolleston is incredible in this too, kiwis truly are the funniest people on earth.
