Amelia Donaghy, a rookie cop whose quick thinking preserved a gruesome murder scene, is enlisted by Rhyme to be his on-the-scene forensics expert. With Amelia reluctantly acting as Rhyme's able-bodied go-between, the pair piece together cryptic clues the killer leaves behind at the scene of the crime, hoping to catch the grisly serial killer.

Some people call films like Little Women and Pride & Prejudice "cozy" but for me that word is reserved for the films from the 90's. I just hate the way films look nowadays - that cinematography that makes everything look so perfect, artificial and cold and those sets that look so fake and not lived-in at all. It all looks so staged and you are so painfully aware of it.
My fav 90's movies? The thrillers. The shots of the city at night, the elegant soundtracks, the nostalgia when the outdated police technology is on the screen.
You gotta love how many films there were after Se7en trying to do what it did and all of them failing. Only Fincher can…

Starring: King Kong Ain’t Got Sh!t On Denzel
A movie that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that Washington has the acting chops to impress audiences when confined to a bed and relying solely on his body language and the way he delivers his lines. Again, his presence is very commanding. Angelina Jolie is convincing as a rookie detective with natural skill; she sold me of her smarts and the vulnerability. All of the actors, even the bit players like Ed O'Neill, Luis Guzman, Quinto, Queen Latifah, and Michael Rooker, left an impression on me.

Late 90’s cat and mouse mystery thriller with a solid cast is, at least for me, best remembered for instilling fear in the hearts of taxi cab passengers far and wide. Never reaches the heights of some other Se7en era serial killer swill and kinda plays it a bit to straight for me but it’s a decent little Wednesday night distraction from reality.
I remember reading the book during the summer right before this came out and eventually seeing this theatrically with my folks. I still remember the tv spots for this movie lol—Time flies.
