Agyaan VFXaakuntalam by Star Plus?
-
This movie has outshined every other movie to become worst in all departments that exists in cinema.
This movie should be used by federal agencies in their torture room to extract information from enemies of the state.
I am out of words to describe how bad this movie is. Letterboxd should start letting ppl give 0 star rating cause some movies deserve that or in special cases like this, negative ratings.
Samantha is acting worse than her debut in this movie
-
i didn't like it but my mum liked it lol. the 3D was particularly horrible and made everything so dark, I could barely see sam in many scenes. she looked really beautiful whenever she was visible tho and that alone made my tickets worth it 💛
edit : I just found out that was allu arjun's daughter!!!

* Watched only first half *
#Shaakuntalam (Telugu) [3D] {1/5} - Yaak thu antaam.
Couldn’t sit thru the first half. Such a bore fest. Too bad VFX. Asalu etla approve chestharra ilantivi. Pillalu chuse cocomelon lo ne Inka chalaaaa better graphics pedthunaru kadara.
3D Visuals looked very very dull. 😵💫
Idi love story ani start chesi main characters aathram okate chupinchadu without any connect. Chiraak lesindi. 🙄
Samantha is okay.
Gunasekhar sir ni chusi jaalipadalo..badhapadaalo ardham kavatledu. There could only be one of the below two reasons.
1. None of them around him are dare enough to go and tell him that something is bad.
2. Or everyone around him thinks just like him.
What a pity. Sorry! Didn’t dare to see the second half. Walked out. SKIP IT.

Shocked, SHOCKED, to discover the movie everyone told me was bad is actually quite bad!
It is, however, not quite as bad as its rep. There's some endearing dumbshit earnestness that almost rises to the level of camp a few times, and there's some so-bad-its-good potential here if you watch it with the right friends and also drugs.
Feels extremely like a movie that had just enough budget for what it was trying to do with no-name actors, found out it could get Samantha Ruth Prabhu, spent two thirds of the budget doing that, and then tried to make the rest of it stretch.
Unfortunate, then, that it gives Sam so little to do. She's given a few big emotions…

Squeaky parrots chanting mantras has to be the funniest shit I’ve seen in ages.
-
There were other ways to hurt myself, why did I choose this?!

Watched the Malayalam dubbed version.
Not gonna lie, watched this for Sam and Sam only. The film is more or less a feature-length rendition of your average mythological television drama, with horrendous VFX/CGI.
-
Rest of the film aside, what the fuckkkkkkk was that VFX?
I don't even want to call that as VFX as it would be a disprespect to VFX artists but man seriously, it was almost on Adipurush level. Even Samantha looked disinterested throughout the film like myself.

dandam ra dhootha. inkenni rojulu ra audience meeda revenge. gap ivvu ra ayya.
Half star only for those multiple jinkas jinking around.

Hmm, I'm struggling to put this experience into words. I understand that the filmmakers aimed to portray a simplified version of a beautiful mythological play, but I wish it had been executed better, not just visually but also in terms of story and screenplay.
Samantha's acting was graceful and impressive, but I feel like it wasn't her best performance. Devmohan's portrayal of Dhusyant was charizzmatic, but it didn't leave a strong impression on me. Some familiar faces in the film didn't have much impact, while Arha came, she came, she served, she ate and left a mark.
The music was beautiful, with well-sung and composed songs, but it didn't move me as much as some other films have.
The editing…
