Maheshinte Prathikaram, Mahesh's Revenge
Pothettan aadyathe padam aanelum enna oritha!
Set in the beautiful hill town of Idukki, it’s a simple and sweet rooted tale of revenge, that’s such a delight to watch for its lighthearted humor, clever writing, sensible characters and charming music. Fahadh Faasil is in top form as the commoner, well supported by a solid cast. The narrative is flows so organically and is loaded with feel good moments. It’s a must watch fine entertainer.
I fw this movie so much that, at this point someone please inject it into my veins.
Beautiful and Flawless in every sense.
"Aahh... Dubsmash"
"... alla, Flashmob"
Watched Maheshinte Prathikaaram, The way this movie goes on would make you feel relaxed, the beauty of this movie is that its cast and crew selection all the actor in film potrayed their characters very well. not a single dull moment .. Fahad faasil's acting was too good.I thoroughly enjoyed the film.
Chin Down. Shoulder Down. Chin up. Eyes Open. Click the shutter. This is Mahesh Bhavana's (Fahaad Faasil) photography ritual. He is not the kind of person to use a DSLR, attach kilometre long hashtags and scavenge for likes on a social networking site. He is the kind of photographer you don't want to be clicked by. When a girl comes to have a women's magazine cover photo clicked she ends up going back saying that the photo is no different from her identity card photo. To call his photography functional would mean sending every government issued ID card photograph for matchmaking. But this is a movie about a man's revenge. It is Mahesh's revenge. Before a man can take revenge,…
a movie about two things:
1) it's difficult to find a malyalee when you need him because he may have left for gulf at any time
2) flirting hits different when she calls you chetta
i love how warm and pretty this looks. just the opening credits alone are worth 5 stars
Only in Malayalam cinema do we get a heartwarming revenge drama
Maheshinte Prathikaram is my favourite movie of all time in Malayalam. It's similar to Hot fuzz where the first half is full of setups and the other half is payoff. The characters are all introduced with the opening song "Idukki"which has lush green visuals and a personifying lyrics. The movie completely justifies the title as it's about Mahesh taking his revenge and coming to terms with his own shortcomings.
In one scene Crispin talks about the tragic fate of heroes who took vengeance by citing the examples of Mohanlal movies "Kireedam" and "Chenkol". Mahesh doesn't lose his life like that in the end as he merely wanted to vent out his built up spite and fulfill his promise to start…
Maheshinte Prathikaaram: Mahesh’s Revenge
“Last night, in Asianet Movies, Kireedam was telecasted.”
Dileesh Pothan’s Maheshinte Prathikaaram has a lot of fun with the revenge template. Despite it’s rough title, this is actually a cute film. A lot of Fahadh’s work is very intense and dark, it’s refreshing when he does some lighter stuff. The first act is incredibly slow and feels all over the place. It wasn’t focused enough to allow me to get too into the narrative. Once the big event happens, Pothan takes you on a journey. At first it seems it will be very intense and gruelling. This cinematic showdown where our protagonist will become the “hero”. Mohanlal’s Kireedam is referenced and that was a film where a…
I was still smiling at how personal and simple the story was. Still, how perfectly it was written to make it so complex. The Malayalam Film industry has mastered working upon some straightforward and personal stories that are never thought of and taking a life-changing experience out of it.
This movie is a personal and nostalgic ride for any viewer, and the best thing is that it will be a different ride for everyone. For me, the story was to close to the heart, and it felt like it is reminding of some days i never wanted to be reminded about, at first it felt hurtf l. Still, the way Mahesh's character talked about my story didn't make me think…
