This movie begins on a spaceship in the year 2127, then flashes back to the 1700s with Adam Scott as an evil French aristocrat, then jumps forward to 1996. It's bad, but it's definitely not boring.
i love it when horror franchises get to the point where they're like "ok but what if they were in... SPACE"
This time, the theatrical cut (my preferred cut)
1796: A show stealing, Grimly fiendish French Aristicrat commissions a toymaker, enter the Lemarchand box
1996: Lemarchand Building. Aesthetic.
2127: LEMARCHAND SPACECRAFT FTW
“I..AM..PAIN”
Pinhead has some of his best lines in this one, Doug Bradley really goes for it. So many people have spent countless hours trying to tell me what a flawed garbage movie this is but honestly I simply do not give a shit 🤷🏻♂️ I saw this in theaters during its initial run and have LOVED it then, still do now!
Thanks for existing Event Horizon.
Hellraiser 4 opens in the 22nd century, where a scientist attempts to right the wrong his ancestor created: the puzzle box that opens the gates of Hell and unleashes Pinhead and his Cenobite legions.
What the fuck is wrong with you people? I get it that Pinhead's character was destroyed in 3rd installment itself when he was stripped of his originality because some dickheads like him more as just another dumb monster that can be a perfect fit for a slasher flick, but when you come up with a script like this that has not one but three independent movie ideas which could have been used to revive the entire Hellraiser franchise, you people have…
"To put it simply, it's something I want to do with mirrors and lasers. See, in theory, it's possible: perpetual light, trapped light feeding off it's own reflections. I haven't perfected the light yet. Something's missing, and I can't make it work. It'll go for a few seconds, then it will blink out."
This is exactly how I feel about Hellraiser: Bloodline. Originally conceived by Clive Barker to be a Hellraiser Horror Anthology taking place in three different time periods, the Beginning, Present, and End of Lemarchand's Box, corresponding to the Ancien Regime Of France, 1990's United States (following on from the end of Hellraiser III) and 22nd Century Outer Space. Hellraiser: Bloodline as originally conceived and, indeed, filmed, by…
during one scene two security guards openly discuss whether or not they'd fuck a trans woman. They both come to the conclusion that they would.
They are later turned into cenobites.
Adam Scott also has a Trent Reznor haircut and wears a David Byrne suit.
Excellent movie
Pinhead really gets all the best lines. Meanwhile the cop twins are saying “he has…pins in his head!”
Just like part 3 was special to me because it was filmed in my home city, this 4th entry (in space!) of the Hellraiser series will always be special because it was the only one I got to see in a theater...in that very city!
When I first saw it way back in 1996, I was absolutely blown away. Right from that opening flash of Pinhead, I was on board the whole way. Even then, I knew what it meant when “Alan Smithee” popped up on the screen so I was pretty surprised to see it. I’m still always a little surprised when I see it now because while this isn’t a masterpiece, it’s certainly not awful...especially not for a part…

I can not believe this was less than 90 minutes, it feels like I’ve been watching it for an eternity.
