  You want to test my knowledge about Dunki or you want to check my English speaking skills? My knowledge about Dunki is limited but my knowledge about the English language is unlimited. I understand noun, pronoun, adjective, verb, adverb, conjunction, semicolon, colon, comma and full stop. I can make conversation confidently with any English person. Prince Charles, wife Diana or mother in law Queen Elizabeth number 2. I find it disturbing that your esteemed organization is trying to judge me by my knowledge about Dunki and not by my English grammar. You must re-examine your rating system. This is about English, not about Dunki.

  A humane story that does get set around imperative topics, but the hit n miss writing with some random outdated choices hamper the flow and fail to leave any memorable impact unlike other Hirani outings. You do get sprinkles of his quintessential fun, sarcastic pokes and genuinely moving moments, however as said before it gets bogged down by the screenplay, lacking the much needed dramatic spark nor emotional conviction in order to resonate and root for. After watching 12th Fail, we can securely say that Vidhu Vinod Chopra was dearly missed. The cast and performances give a big boost, with Tapsee, SRK and Vicky’s cameo landing the most impact. The aged makeup was really off though. On the whole, it ends up a middling affair that engages in bits n pieces for its feel good factor.

  DUNKI or Donkey flight (an illegal technique for unauthorized entry in countries like the USA/Canada/England) is a vast yet neglected topic worldwide. In Punjabi accent people used to call it DUNKI.
  Millions of people die taking this Donkey Route and their families have no records or confirmation about them. I am glad that Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan have raised the topic and presented it in front of the world and the governments for the betterment.

  Another topic I liked in the film is, that the people who succeed in doing the illegal entry, start posting their fake pictures…

  Don't fall for the bait!

  I believe SRK might have visited the Archies set, and somehow, watching those guys act, he seems to have forgotten how to act!

  I had hoped to see Rajkumar Hirani's work without Vidhu Vinod Chopra's involvement, as I've always had doubts about his work. However, the result is out, where '12th Fail' passes with full marks, and 'Dunki' fails miserably.

  SRK fanboys will likely defend this film blindly, as if their lives depend on it. But deep inside their heart, they know that it’s a bad film.

  Enjoyed Dunki. Decent to good first two acts, but the strong final hour is what makes the movie; it really hits all the right notes, especially the emotional moments. Also, the entire ‘Main Tera Rashta Dekhunga’ sequence is vintage SRK!

  I was exactly like Vicky kaushal watching this movie , fed up by their nonsense and just wanted to set myself on fire. What a convincing and real performance by him in front of these clowns .

  Rajkumar hirani has failed big time as a director as he's still stuck in the early 2000's way of filmmaking, bad WhatsApp forward jokes and many unfunny gags where two of them felt like lifted from maheshinte prathikaram (2016) and achuvinte Amma(2005). I didn't enjoy any of his jokes nor the way he made those actors overact everywhere with an atrocious Punjabi accent, cause those are not bad actors !!!   Now i really am confused as I'm not able to understand the hate this movie is getting. People walking off the theatres here in Hyderabad. It's very weird. It's 2024 and i still can't understand what Indians actually want.

  Nonetheless, I felt it was a really nice lighthearted adventure flick which also happens to be based on true events. No man, as much as I don't like SRK, this was heartwarming.

  Atlast successfully went to a movie with everybody from my hyderabad's home. Dunki mar liya xD

  Just when you think the movie is gonna leave you with a heavy heart, Hirani pulls this light-hearted "Jeans" rug from under our feet and sends us home again with this contentment that reminds us why there is none like Hirani.

  'Dunki' has an emotional concept of great weight, but Hirani's dashes of "Oye Hoye" humor keep it lightweight, thereby offering the movie an emotional and pleasing experience.

  In a few of the moments in the movie, the comedy and tragedy are just beside each other, and they work like anything, there's this innocence all these 5 people carry in them that makes us root for them, we laugh at their innocence, and we empathize with their realization.
