a: my immortal by evanescence at a funeral scene
b: bring me to life, also by evanescence, at a dramatic elektra training and matt getting dressed sequence
c: n.e.r.d. by lapdance, introducing kingpin with lyrics such as "i'm an outlaw quick on the draw something you've never seen before and i dare a motherfucker to come in my face"
d: top o' the morning to ya by house of pain introducing colin farrell's bullseye with lyrics such as "ya see, i'm irish, but i'm not a leprechaun"
would be appropriate songs for those scenes.... you're a genius, i love you and i want you to get a raise and a corona free pass!

Daredevil is a fucking astounding piece of writing, because it has literally no second act.
The first half of the movie is spent introducing all the characters and then they immediately go to the final fights between elektra and bullseye, daredevil and bullseye, then daredevil and kingpin.
There is no rising action, no escalation, nothing. it's insane. It boggles the mind.

A movie where Kevin Smith has a cameo as “Jack Kirby,” there are two different Evanescence songs on the soundtrack, and Ben Affleck’s big romantic move on Jennifer Garner is to silently walk up to her at a party, shove his face in her neck, and take a big deep sniff. (This happens about four scenes after they sexy fight on a playground while small children cheer them on.)
That said, the way Daredevil’s radar sense is visualized and utilized is surprisingly effective. 20 years later, I still can’t decide whether Colin Farrell gives the worst performance I’ve ever seen, or the best.
