I went into spider blind, so I both was shocked and laughed. Knowing this was related to Spider hurt it as I knew exactly what was going to happen.
It was fun and funny, but I think the lack of shock that I got from Spider hurt it in some ways.

Even better thanks again carl

„I'm beary scary.“
Holy Shit, this was hialarious!
Give it a try (YouTube), even if you're no "Animal-Horror" Fan, it's just about a terrible, likeable Idiot, try to do a good Thing... I didn't saw one of the Twists coming, WTF!

Nash Edgerton is the definition of a hit or miss director for me. For his features length films, The Square was great but Gringo was ultimately pointless.
The same seems to go for his shorts. Spider is quite possibly the best short film I have ever seen. Brilliant, fun, inventive and pulls the rug out from under you at the end.
Bear is his follow up, which I see is referred to as a sequel. It just follows essentially the same formula and is fun, but not really necessary, unless you want to see Spider done again to a lesser effect.
There is a pretty impressive special effect in the middle that gave me a shock, but the ending you'll see coming from a mile away. Still fun enough though.

Watched on YouTube
This short film is a so to say sequel to Nash Edgerton's other short film Spider, which was made a few years earlier. So I would definitely recommend watching Spider first and then this one.
If you imagine that the protagonist is one and the same person, his stupidity really causes him a lot of wear and tear on girlfriends he has on his conscience.
Bear works with the same premise and patterns, but in my opinion it`s even a bit better than Spider. Who loves black comedy, will dig it!
Nice short film double-feature!

Holy. Shit.
A sequel to Spider.
Nash Edgerton always bring pranks to the next level of madness. This is another reason why I never like surprises.

this is what the revenant (2015) should have been
-
Made in the same vein as Spider. Yet remaining a valuable short in its own right.
