What? Oh no. I've uh, just got something in my eye, that's all.
I just *clenches fist* love stories about the relationships women have and develop with each other over their lives.
This movie has everything. Including the 4 B’s.

Barbara Hershey’s husband is portrayed as a villain for not liking Bette Midler’s musical but he is right. Her musical is BAD.
That little kid playing Bette Midler was better at being Bette Midler than Bette Midler.
screw the beach that makes you old i want to go to the beach that makes you take care of your dying platonic life partner
😭😭😭😭😭
Five minutes after this ended I got myself together and texted my best friend to let her know I love her because this movie kinda messed me up?
An excellent dramedy about female friendships, starring Bette Midler, Barbara Hershey and John Heard. Beaches wasn't as overtly chick-flicky as I thought it would be, but it does lean heavily into the melodrama.
Sometimes it feels a bit like an advertisement for Midler, what with how much focus there is on her singing. The songs are all very good though.
Michelle used (at least) four Kleenexes.
