Batman and Catwoman have sex a lot: The Movie (also Hush is there a bit)

“crazy plant bitch” is my new favorite nickname for poison ivy
-
don’t mind me choosing to only to watch dc animated movies with nightwing in them

Batman Hush by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee is a modern classic. Sadly most of what makes it so enjoyable is missing from the animated movie. The basic storyline is here but gone are the internal dialogues, which Loeb does masterfully. Also, Jim Lee’s panels are incredibly dynamic and cinematic, alas, none of this is captured in the animated film.
Entertaining at best.

no but a live-action of this would actually be such a serve i think

slightly letdown by this one. It lacked the complexity and the depth we see in the graphic novel. Our characters felt very one dimensional and we struggle to care for Hush and his motives.
Beautifully animated and some amazing voice-acting.

Poison Ivy kisses Catwoman, Joker flirts with Batman, and BatCat bang so perfect Batman movie

After re-reading Hush for the first time in 20 years, I was curious to see how it was adapted to animation — because so much of the pleasure of that book is just basking in Jim Lee’s glorious superhero art. (I love Jim Lee art, sorry if that makes me a basic ’90s comic book nerd.)
And it turns out Hush without Lee’s iconic pencils is ... not very interesting! I expected you’d see at least a little of his visual influence on the style of the film. Nope — it’s pretty much the standard look of all these direct-to-video DC animated movies.
The Hush film also can’t replicate the single most effective element of the Hush comics, which was…

It’s taken me a minute to get around to watching this one. It hasn’t really been high up on my list because I’d heard it took some creative liberties in adapting the original story from the comics. Sad to find out this is indeed the case.
This film primarily does three things wrong:
1) It chooses to faithfully adapt the worst parts of the story. Usually, seeing Batman’s entire cavalcade of villains is enjoyable; however, here they only serve to further clutter an already convoluted plot, with no purpose other than to say, “Hey! Remember me? I’m Scarecrow!” This is unfortunately the biggest downfall of the original comics as well, and wouldn’t be an issue if the goal had been…

The current DC Universe is solid. They have cranked out a few more misfires than they did with their previous, less connected entries; but it’s still a level of quality that allows it to somewhat connect with the readers from the original stories. Batman: Hush is the prime example of a movie that faithfully adapts the story that readers love, with two-three small changes; but changes that have major implications on the final product. There is one particular decision towards the end that will leave fans sour if unaccepted. That decision is one that I accepted because, while I like the graphic novel; the exclusion of certain villains and focus on the…

“Tell me you have a plan”
“Yes,
Run”
This throws a lot of heros and villains in the mix and for that alone, its quite enjoyable. Does also help the story was pretty interesting, especially with a mysterious Villain calling shots in Gotham. The reveal on that was somewhat underwhelming but I wasn’t sure what I was expecting either. Nightwing sorta became my fav part of this series of Batman as well and this one also puts the Bat n the Cat relationship on full display. Coulda been executed better in areas yet still took away a fun watch overall. 7.2/10🤫🦇
