Synopsis
It was summer on the shores of Lake Geneva.
Alice was on vacation at the campsite with her mother, she was bored.
One day by chance, she met Zack in the middle of the sunflower fields.
Today the summer is over.
Before dying, the faded sunflowers tell us the story of this invisible love.

A sweet love story without explicitly being so. Distinctive cinematography which uses a presumably small budget and limited time to good effect.

I'll let you in on an industry (Heaven™) secret: children have the innate ability to spiritually dissociate (astral protection) and let their souls have free roam over the flower fields. Naturally this ability reaches peak intensity during the summer (my tropicfolk need not worry) when the amplitude of Life is highest. It is no coincidence Love also takes off at this time, but since our immature vocabulary struggles to voice our feelings, we instead opt for pizza and music (Laugh).

A coming-of-age astral projection during summertime doesn't have to be this cute, and sad, but also innocent.

This film harness its setting well and, without being over ambitious, offers a tale of childhood off which you can almost feel the heat of the sun.
The titular sunflowers are of course gorgeous, but the Batistuta/Argentina top might be the star piece.
