I have now watched all 53 films that were nominated for an Oscar for the 2024 Academy Awards. I am going to list the movies that I think will win for each category AND the movies that I think should win for each category.
I am predicting a big haul for Oppenheimer (and deservedly so). There are a few favorites that I really hope do NOT win because they simply are not deserving. A win for War is Over! would be just a populist vote. Same for the ABCs of Book Banning. Both of these short films, in my opinion were the worst of the group nominated.
I think the toughest category this year is Best International Feature Film. Four out of five of the films are truly outstanding, the other is very, very good.
