Texas, 1979 a small crew of people are on location at a farm to shoot an adult film but two things .. well two people stand in their way and that's Pearl and Howard who live there and begin picking each person off one by one in gruesome ways.
The actors in X do get to shine and some of the kills were shocking and nuts, Mia Goth stands out though the most since she plays two different characters to perfection.
Greg Kinnear plays Bob Crane who was known for starring in the hit sitcom Hogan's Heroes, the movie depicts some of his struggles with his career and meeting John Henry Carpenter (Willem Dafoe) who helps him indulge in his sex addiction by hooking him up with a lot of different women and filming it too.
The movie is just fine but nothing too special, it does depict his murder as well which was never solved ...
With a title like Funny People you'd think it'd be funny but it's kind of a downer and the movie runs for way too long.
The cast is made up of people who can be funny but the only scene that made me laugh is Eric Bana's character trying to explain Aussie rules football to Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen which I find accurate and hilarious.
The movie itself is fine but that one scene where Paul (George Peppard) goes to the window and looks down at Holly (Audrey Hepburn) who is singing "Moon River" gave me chills (she has such a great voice!) such a well done and memorable scene.
