watched this while working on the deck for my first short film and it reminded me how much I love Fassbinder and how inspiring he is to me. a very fun movie about the chaos of filmmaking and probs the closest thing to autofiction he’s done.

I really went into this SO excited and walked away SO disappointed. was very grateful to have watched with friends at least. as a person who did sex work a good portion of my adult life I was excited but then this movie had a true tonal issue. As someone who has started screenwriting, it really disappointed me how “funny” and just unrealistic this movie was on so many levels. The character is so witty and spirited yet is written…
