Tim Burton is a director who does well with his own creations. Although he has had some success with some movies adapted from other literary works (or scripts by different authors), it is in his work that the director is at ease in creating a proper rhythm, story, and a dark atmosphere with surrealist and gothic touches while still being entertaining. This movie is exactly like that but with a very over-the-top climax (with a song sung by the protagonist!) and a bland role for Monica Bellucci, who demonstrates absurd power only to be swallowed by a giant worm. It's worth to watch (and rewatching!) for the specific world, the rhythm, the baby Beetlejuice, Keaton's charisma as Beetlejuice, and the gothic aesthetic. Also, a scene that criticizes the actual generation, which everyone watches the world on phone screens is exciting and straightforward forward hahaha!
