Aaron Pierre with the eyes of a cougar and the demeanour of a lion (pretty striking resemblance to a human Scar) tears shit up in another excellent movie from Saulnier about a bunch of nasty corrupt dudes underestimating another dude. Pretty miraculous star making turn from Pierre, the rizz he oozes enough to power the Hollywood sign. Captures that Jack Reacher super soldier energy to an absolute T with some of the best action hero lines in a long time. The cheer I let out when he chucks Emory Cohen about like he’s a crash dummy gave me a good idea of what it was like to be in the Colosseum audience back in the day. Big fan of Saulnier doing the classic genre movie thing of ending a movie when it ends
