Obstetrician: It's a birth.
Hospital Administrator: Ah. And what sort of thing is that?
Dr. Spenser: Well, that's where we take a new baby out of a lady's tummy.
Hospital Administrator: Wonderful what we can do nowadays.
I have a weird feeling about Monty Python. I never got into “Monty Python's Flying Circus” and stopped watching after not finding the best moments particularly funny. I was also not that sold on “Life of Brian” even though it had good moments but this movie and “the Holy Grail” are just great (with “the Holy Grail” being the best and a 5/5 movie). This might be a weird and unpopular opinion but I can’t really do anything about it.
This movie clearly had a higher budget than the previous movies, which made it’s set designs and effects look much more impressive. The Crimson Permanent Assurance segment at the beginning was maybe a bit too artistic compared to the rest of the movie but at the same time it was a fun and creative idea that fit the minds of Monty Python.
This movie was basically just a bunch of sketches but they were all fun and creative, while some even got weird and gross.
The movie actually answered the meaning of life, while it also asked or focused on other important questions that remain relevant today.
They all gave great comedic performances and I just wish I could enjoy their other stuff more, as they truly were comedic geniuses when their jokes worked for me.
