Relevant to every political society, the film portrays an Italian man desperate to conform along with a fascist society that forces conformity.
Fascist states and society rely on hatred and rejection of differences to foster a sense of national spirit in order to continue military atrocities with limited protest. They need to create a sense of community and punish individuality to allow for their oppression of others.
