    really good! just not movie of the year/best actress good. i admire the fact that mikey madison learned russian and pole dancing for the role, she’s a very invested actress. sean baker not having an intimacy coordinator on this film was a massive mistake. it’s a directors job to make sure those scenes go down safely and appropriately no matter what. spent the entire movie thinking about how much praise this is getting, where zola, a movie about a black…

    if you don’t fw my neighbor totoro you should be shot. 

    this is the only thing that could get me through the migraine haze of today. 
    a comforting reminder that the five year old who watched this in their playroom every day without fail and touched the static emanating from their tv set, imagining it was totoro’s fur is still somewhere inside me. at my sickest i let my inner child take the reins and look after me, and without fail i return to an idyllic little village where even the trees are magical and everything will always end up ok.
