Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back 2001
[ben affleck voice] nights like this, i miss dating a lesbian.
soooo fun, i love being a kevin smith fan i love when moveys are self referential and earnest. can't stop thinking about the review calling this kevin smith's new nightmare. kinda bittersweet cause wes craven was also here in a little cameo :( -

The Beyond 1981
yaayyy some pretty disgusting deaths and corpses. loved the scenes between the two women, AND THE ENDING. a lot of this happened to my buddy dean winchester

The Elephant Man 1980
never, oh, never nothing will die. the stream flows, the wind blows. the cloud fleets, the heart beats. nothing will die
david :( there will never be any other directors like him, his sensibility was out of this world. i'll miss him forever.

Queer 2024
i'm not queer, i'm disembodied
LOVED the scene where they do ayahuasca, conjoined!!! union is a form of regression!!!
in general i loved everything that had that surrealist touch, what it had to say about the body, the first disassociation scene with the tv static, the entire second half of the movie. when they puke their hearts out SPECIALLY also loved the ending the lights and colors swirling around together :)
some things i didn't like tbh and didn't connect with specially towards the beginning but ah good experience overall -

Notes on an American Film Director at Work 2005
the departed was my favorite scorsese movie til a few weeks ago when i watched tcom for the first time, and it's still so special to me obviously, so this was life changing.
wish scorsese had talked a bit more about the plot of the movie itself but i guess that's what reading conversations with scorsese is for.
to see two of my favorite directors talking about film was soooo beautiful, i also got so emotional when they started talking… -
Nowhere Boy 2009
everything about the existence of this movie is crazy as hell from making a movie about the freudian implications in the relationship between lennon and his mom, is that okay????? to the whole aaron and sam taylor johnson thing. movie bad like morally. i loved it. and the craziest thing might actually be thomas brodie sangster as paul mccartney

Scenes from the Life of Andy Warhol: Friendships & Intersections 1990
IT ALL COMES BACK NOW, IN GLIMPSES ----
mekas is at his best imo when he makes portraits of friendships. this little movie not only is exactly that, a portrait of his friendship with warhol, but also features scenes of warhol hanging out with other friends. which creates a very beautiful interwoven mosaic. wahhh i love friendship i love my friends :)
