Had really great moments and an original premise. Marketing would lead you to believe this is a fast paced 'Silence of the Lambs' redux, which is partly true, but much more slow burn than SOL. It's never boring, but a little unevenly paced.
A few gripes:
-I would have loved more interactions between Harker and Longlegs versus the one 'showdown' interrogation at the last act. It seemed a little out of charecter for him to be so extra and theatrical with the stalking and evidence left for law enforcement for 30+ years, but in the end, when he knows Harker has solved the mystery, packs a couple bags and meets cops at a bus stop. Would have loved to see a scene that one-upped the iconic night goggles scene from SOL to lead to his arrest.
-The last act doesn't meet the first 2/3 in terms of quality of the writing and how it unfolds.
-The ending did not pay off the first two acts. There was so many teases to something more sinister than what we got.
Overall, this movie was pretty good, and will be discussed and dissected for years to come. Loved the originality and had its moments, but just wish it had a better ending.
