A grieving mother contracts a mysterious doll maker to create a doll in the image of her son. This is no ordinary overpriced doll though. It comes with a short list of rules with terrible consequences.
Typically I like to create a longer blurb but this short film is only ten minutes long and I wouldn't want to risk giving too much away. The Doll Maker is another gem hosted by the excellent ALTER channel on Youtube. A vast catalog of short horror films from students, up and coming film makers, established names looking to present projects too short for a feature film, and snippets of what some may wish to advance to feature length if viewers like it.
Of the dozen or so films I've seen on that channel thus far, The Doll Maker is one of the best. The premise for the plot can totally be stretched to fit an episode of a TV show or maybe even a full film. Definitely worth a watch. Here's a link to the short on Youtube. Enjoy!
