I went into this film with no spoilers. I didn't even know what it was about. Holy fuck was I taken by surprise.
I guess this is one of those films that's supposed to have some kind of meaning behind it. Is it about man's impact on nature? Is "him" god? Is she mother nature? Is the house supposed to be Earth? Is the coughing guy Adam and his wife Eve? Is this all a weird spin on god, Adam and Eve, and the bible? I could ask questions for hours and probably still have more.
When I watch movies I usually have them on one screen while playing Xbox on my other screen. The third act of this film stole ALL of my attention. I was left dumbfounded and shocked to be honest. That's rare. "Him" actually made me angry. I'm still trying to make sense of it all. Did anyone else notice whenever people leave they just disappear? When they arrive they just appear. Where are the cars?
Time to spend some time on youtube looking up people's analysis of this movie. Wow.
