I’m on vacation in the Dominican Republic. Got rum drunk by the pool and then surfed my hotel room’s TV, finally finding ONE (1) English-language channel—Showtime. What was on?Saving Private Ryan. The scene where Vin Diesel gets sniped. My fiancé had never seen the movie before, so we ended up watching the rest of it. Man, we were fucking SOBBING by the end. I must have seen this movie 20 times in my life, but it never made me cry like that before. Maybe I’m overtired. Or maybe I’m just getting old.
