(I was inebriated back when I slandered your fav movie I'm sorry bb)
The psychotic drowns where the mystic swims.....you're drowning.
I can't tag every quote and mention every magical shot. Everything is fucking beautiful and mesmerizing. There still hasn't been anything like this since its release. This is the one movie I truly gush over and can't stop watching. This might have been my 9th time and I still love it so much. I've already done a lengthy review on why I think this is so good, but it's just so perfect…
"We accept the reality of the world with which we are presented, it's as simple as that."
One of the greatest films of all time in my opinion. So tightly constructed, a perfect world. The music, acting, costume design, story, everything 10/10. The ending really is what sets this apart from most movies. The man playing God talking directly to his creation while people pray for him to deny it all and be free. The shots of Truman walking on…
Kung-fu Scott Pilgrim was cool, but really needed a Paul Dano-type as Bill to reach its full potential

Still an obvious all-timer, but it just doesn't have the juice that Heat has, the sauce that The Godfather works with and doesn't feel as epic as The Irishman to me personally. I know I'm in the minority for not having this in the 'top 2' for gangster movies, but it's also a little too clean outside of the Pesci scenes. It doesn't feel as suffocating or stylish as something like King Of New York either, it's like a fine wine - it can definitely be appreciated but the other gangster movies are like glasses of scotch.

This is a thinker. I feel like I need to sleep on this to really digest it, but I also don't think I could dive in and break it all down without another watch.
Beautifully shot in a dream like world and a hypnotic choir carries out throughout most of the film. It's a fairy tale but never like I've seen before. The editing was actually pretty awful to begin, but it calms down and the stretched out scenes suck…
There's never been another movie like this one. Perfect blend of sci-fi and action, the right kind of comedy sprinkled in, and a time travel plot that doesn't go off the rails. I know in later movies it does, but those feel separate to me. Even the 1st film just feels like a prologue to this one.
In my top 5 greatest action flicks for sure.
