More of the same, with stars for the impressive technicals and a couple of excitingly chasey-set-pieces, but none for the blandly drawn humans nor the story, which is a limp, drawn out (145 minutes!) rehash of previous simian power struggles - save for when Macon’s Raka is on screen, who brings welcome humour and depth of character…
…the rest is pretty much by the numbers, corporate filmmaking that adequately passes a rainy Thursday evening - not bad, just lacking personality.
