    Cinema hit a very special equilibrium in that marvellous bedroom merry-go-round-scene. Seriously, film history could just have stopped there, repeating it endlessly. We would all have been much better off.

    Off-beat giallo psychodrama with the genre's signature subjective camera shots indicating not a psychopathic murderer on the hunt but rather a desperate housewife trying to break out of the neat little bourgeoise box her life has turned into. Turns out housewife-in-heat povs can put the world just as much out of whack as psycho-killer povs, though.

    Generally fiction masks primal anxiety very unsufficiently here, like trying to hide a dead (well...) body under a bunch of leaves and crumbling bits of earth over the blood stains.

    Also, Eva Czemerys is a bona fide glamour queen in this.
