Truly remarkable how easily Cage is able to take his usual screechy, quirky schtick and tweak ever so slightly to make it terrifying. Watching every Nicolas Cage movie has really made me come to appreciate his range. The way he uses the skills at his disposal is incredibly impressive, playing wildly different parts with similar characteristics and acting tics yet intentionally changing them so that they take on wholly different meanings. The meaning here being: get the Hell away from this guy.
