I'd marked this as watched, but I'm pretty sure I am wrong, although I have watched its detournement, ESCAPE FROM IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, which converts what I thought was the film's premise rather than its third act into a looping (and looped with, as I recall, wildly appropriate dialogue) hell.
I need to jot this off and not sure how much I have to add at this late date, other than to say, the next time anyone calls Capra overly manipulative, point out that he nearly drowns George's brother at the start without so much as a note of music.
