Christian Di Leo’s review published on Letterboxd:
I love how Guillermo be making me feel like eight different emotions while watching this gothic banger. Whimsy, fear, cheerfulness, dread, shock, terror, disgust and affection. I literally felt the same when watching The Shape Of Water as well, he's always juggling different emotions in his filmmaking and making you feel some type of way. Crimson Peak is a haunting ghost story and a monstrous love story and I was locked in for every minute of this baby. It's masterfully shot, well-acted, deliciously violent and even touching at moments, it's a fantastic mix of genres. I also never thought I could hate Jessica Chastain more in a film than I hate her in real life but hey, here we are.
