Surprisingly amusing, enjoyable— great production design and cast, good lighting and camera work (though I do desperately wish they had done this on film instead of digital— it all looks too modern). All the gags are such a delight. Macarthur Park had me in stitches, yes, mostly because of Burn Gorman prancing around in priest robes. Yes, Tim Burton, Monica Bellucci is hot. All the stop motion stuff is incredibly charming. Not as tightly paced and clean as the original (it veers so weirdly into Halloween Ends territory for a while) but a good time at the movies.
