Does this even count as a movie?
The Predator is very, very, very, very, very odd.
It’s directed by a man in Shane Black who is a master of weaving compelling characters with a story that teeters on the edge of being more interesting than the people in it.
This movie sacrifices having a story for a bunch of zany characters, but the movie also is crushed under the weight of the plot, but it doesn’t ever end up telling a story? It’s just a thing that happens.
Does that make sense? Probably not. And that’s why this movie fails so badly. It’s lierally indescribable. But they sure do shoot some stuff.
That last scene certified my belief that if there is a God, he abandoned us a long time ago.
