One of the few reasons why I’m begrudgingly excited for the series is that they can fix everything post-Neville’s stand.
Harry and Voldemort fighting around the castle is cool, but that final showdown in front of nobody, Voldemort evaporating and the Elder Wand talk at the end just irk me. You could have squeezed so much more emotion out of all that.
Two things they won’t improve though: the Prince’s tale and the resurrection stone sequences. I bawl like a baby every single time.

WHAT A PICTURE
At some point it’ll be embarrassing that the last half hour of this brings me to a full-on sob, but not today!
The books are certainly better than the movies, but the movies, despite their changes and inconsistency, are an incredible companion piece. At some point they’ll be remade, that’s just inevitable knowing what we know about how show business works. No matter what, it’s not beating this. It just isn’t.

Mason’s 4th Annual Harry Potter-thon: Part 8
Always.
Just like it is with a lot of my favorite movies, I’m finding the words I want to use to describe this movie hard to come by.
The end to this story is simply wonderful, and a reminder that the story of Harry Potter is probably the greatest ever told.
