I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a movie rely so much on news footage to tell its story. Snyder uses it for exposition, literally explaining the story as it happens and providing commentary so the audience gets what he's going for.

This movie is so dumb. I love it.

If the Snyder Cut isn’t this dopey and nonsensical, I will be very disappointed.

Zack Snyder didn’t fail, he just flew too close to the sun.

This rating isn’t as sarcastic as you think it is. I fucking love this movie.

    Ultimate Edition, obviously.

    Ultimate Edition. Again.

I'm fully aware that some people have come to my profile, seen my 3 (now 4) logs of this movie and thought to themselves "Oh Jesus, another delusional DC fanboy". Trust me, I'm not. Except for Batman, obviously.

I can't help it, I'm just fascinated by this movie. Snyder (or as the kids call him, Zaddy) makes so many stupid, nonsensical decisions that are pulled off with so much bravado, I can't help but admire and viscerally…

So. Here we are. 2016's superduper hero movies have come and gone. And I've seen them all. Now, I can say with certainty that somehow, some way, Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice is the best of them all.

    Yes. The best.

While Civil War blows more and more air into an air-balloon gone wild and spoonfeeds it's audience an argument about world politics, Batman V. Superman does the opposite. It pops the balloon before it's finished expanding and doesn't…

The Ultimate Edition of Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice is exactly what it says it is. An extended version of the movie.

For my money's worth, the only major improvement made was the pacing and rhythm of the movie flowed much better than the theatrical release, which is what I expected when 30 minutes of footage were added.

    Jesse Eisenberg is still awful.

In short, I really enjoyed this movie. With the exception of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, who I thought was flat-out-terrible, I had a really fun time with Dawn of Justice. It surprised, enthralled and impressed me. Which no one can take away.

It could be better, but as far as I am concerned, there was far more room for error than there was improvement, which makes it a win in my book.
