Every frame of this is perfection, and it might not even be my favorite Denis film. That's TBD until after I rewatch BR2049. Even if it’s #2, goddamn it is this great.

When I saw this for the first time back in November, I wasn't in the mood to appreciate how great this is. I was so emotionally drained from the election and my cat getting sick (he's better now!!!) that I had a tough time engaging with it.
It communicated to me, but I was basically comatose and couldn't respond.
Now, with the benefit of time, I can say that Arrival is one of the greatest sci-fi movies of all time.

Interstellar meets Dark City meets Contact with a dash of fucking Looper because why not.
As of writing, the only thing I know for sure about this movie is that it's great. I'll figure out specifics some other time.
