It’s always a relief when a movie that you were really fond of still holds up years later. I had lots of questionable taste when I was younger, but this one is still legit. One of my favorite John Cusack performances, Jack Black is lightning in a bottle - he steals every scene he is in. Todd Louiso rounds out a perfect trio.

Very good depiction of Fred Hampton’s demise. I liked how Bill kinda mentioned that he looked up to the FBI agent. He wanted a normal life and the structural racism in our country was never going to let him have that. It sounds like he got what he wanted in the end, but he sold his soul for it. I love how the title calls out Judas, and he ends up with the modern version of 30 pieces of silver. …
Great end for the character. I liked the way that the landscape was desolate and everything seemed dried up and broken. It was a great metaphor for the character.
The X-23 child was like a window into the past with Logan. He used to be pure rage as well, but his body won't let him fight like that anymore.

Kiddo say a tiny bit of this at day care and he came home wanting to see it. I wasn’t watching too close with him, but there were a few things that stood out this time.
Random thoughts:
- Judy Garland is so specific to her time. Her innocence and earnest demeanor feel almost alien. The world was a lot smaller back then. I imagine a lot of young girls related to her at the time.
