100-word review: Whereas Scream 3 dealt with 'the trilogy', Scream 4 tackles 'the reboot' (as well as 'the franchise'), although I'd say that overall, this one is perhaps the least explicitly meta-cinematic of the Scream films so far; third act kinda makes up for it however by bringing this series-defining theme very much to the foreground. Some of the new cast members are a nuisance, others are delightful additions, like Emma Roberts. Overall, 4 is a suitable goodbye and departure from the series for Wes Craven, and I'm looking forward to seeing what Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett will bring to the table.
